Big Step Folly
Sometimes You Have to Take Big Steps in Life
In a project week I worked together with other students as a group of four to build a Folly out of old left over wood, on the property of a former water treatment plant in Slochteren, Netherlands. We were supervised by one of our product design teachers, Jack Brandsma, as well as the owner of the property; architect Haiko Meijer of ONIX architects. We picked the spot and wanted to build up from it and use it as a basis for the folly. The big steps are getting bigger with each step you take and symbolize that you may not always see what is coming ahead.
